With less than a year to go before FIFA World Cup 2026, we’re about to go through a number of checkpoints.

That’s especially true for host cities like Vancouver.

Everyone has their eyes on tickets, with the ticket lottery process set to begin in September. The World Cup draw is reportedly set for Dec. 5 in Las Vegas. That’s when we’ll find out which groups each of the 48 qualified countries will play in.

To date, 13 countries have qualified for the tournament, which runs from June 11 to July 19. Many more will secure their spot in the World Cup when qualifying resumes in September.

There’s now a countdown clock outside BC Place, and Vancouver landed the FIFA Congress, a major FIFA event which takes place on April 30.

But another checkpoint has arrived: host city merch!

The FIFA Store is now offering officially licensed FIFA World Cup 2026 host city merchandise, and that includes Vancouver.

Each city has a different colour palette, with Vancouver getting turquoise merch with green and white trim.

No surprise, but prices aren’t cheap.

“We are Vancouver” T-shirts are selling for $70 for adult sizes, or $65 for youth.

Also for sale are hoodies ($140 for adults, $105 for youth), hats ($65 for adults, $60 for youth), and official host city posters ($30). All clothing is made with 100 per cent organic cotton.
