Two people are dead and another is seriously injured after a shooting on Saturday in Cornwall, Ont., local police say.
The three people all knew each other prior to the shooting on Leitch Drive, the Cornwall Police Service (CPS) said Sunday.
Police did not provide any further details on what led to it. They said it’s believed to be an isolated event with no ongoing risk to public safety.
Upon arrival, police say two people were pronounced dead at the scene, while the third was taken to a local hospital, where they were treated and are currently in stable condition.
Police did not say whether any charges have been laid against the person who survived.
CPS officers were still at the scene as of Sunday afternoon, and the investigation continues.
