COLUMBUS, Ohio – No. 2 Ohio State improved to 11-0 on the year with a 41-3 win at Oregon State (2-1) Sunday in the final nonconference dual of the season. The bout was contested at Gill Coliseum in Corvallis, Oregon.

The Buckeyes led 24-0 after the first five matches, each won by bonus points. Ohio State won four of the final five bouts while allowing just one takedown in the match. Â

The Buckeyes open Big Ten competition at home against No. 23 Indiana at the Covelli Center Jan. 11. Match time is set for 1 p.m. with B1G+ providing the live stream.

125 – (3) Nic Bouzakis (OSU) def. (10) Maximo Renteria (ORST), TF, 19-4
Bouzakis muscled his way to the first score with a takedown followed by a Renteria escape. Bouzakis added another takedown for a 6-2 lead with under two minutes gone in the opening period. A late takedown at the end of the first upped the lead to 9-2 Buckeyes. Choosing bottom to open the second, Bouzakis escaped and quickly scored a takedown for a 13-2 advantage. The second period ended with Bouzakis leading 16-3. Renteria escaped early in the third before Bouzakis got the win by technical fall, 19-4. Â

133 – (2) Ben Davino (OSU) def. Â Jeffrey Lopez (ORST), TF, 21-4
Davino got the opening takedown with two minutes gone in the first. After a Lopez escape, Davino went up 6-1 with another takedown. The opening period ended with Davino in the lead 9-2. Lopez escaped before a Davino double-leg takedown for a 12-3 advantage. The second period ended with the Buckeyes in control, 15-4. The match ended with a Davino win by technical fall, 20-4.

141 – (1) Jesse Mendez (OSU) def. Nash Singleton (ORST), MD, 17-6
Mendez led after the opening period 9-3 behind three takedowns. He added a point early in the second with an escape to lead 10-3 after five minutes. Mendez went up 17-6 with two takedowns and a stalling point to win the match by major decision, 17-6.

149 – (6) Ethan Stiles (OSU) def. Noah Tolentino (ORST), MD, 9-0
Stiles, a former Oregon State Beaver, scored first with a takedown to lead 3-0 after the opening period. Stiles scored a reversal early in the second for a 5-0 advantage after two periods. He finished off the match with a 9-0 win by major decision.

157 – (2) Brandon Cannon (OSU) def. CJ Hamblin (ORST), F, 0:55
Cannon scored on a takedown 55 seconds into the bout on the edge of the mat near the Oregon State bench. The bout was briefly stopped with Hamblin needing medical attention after the takedown. After the stoppage, the referee indicated Cannon achieved the pin for the victory.

165 – (19) Paddy Gallagher (OSU) def. (22) Matthew Olguin (ORST), D, 7-3
After the intermission, Gallagher quickly took a 3-1 lead with a takedown and Olguin escape. Olguin made it 3-2 Buckeyes with an escape to start the second. Gallagher escaped to open the third for a 4-2 lead and then added a takedown for a 7-3 advantage and a win by decision.

174 – (4) Carson Kharchla (OSU) def. (21) Daschle Lamer (ORST), MD, 13-4
Kharchla took a 6-2 lead after the opening period with a pair of takedowns. He added another in the second for a 9-4 advantage. Kharchla added another takedown and a point for riding time to win by major decision, 13-4.

184 – (6) Dylan Fishback (OSU) def. TJ McDonnell (ORST), MD, 14-2
Fishback scored the opening points on a takedown in the opening minute. He finished the opening period with a 9-1 lead after a takedown and a three-point nearfall. McDonnell earned an escape point for the only scoring in the second period. Fishback got the point back with an escape early in the third. A Fishback takedown made it 13-2 for the win by major decision, 14-2.

197 – (6) Justin Rademacher (ORST) def. (14) Luke Geog (OSU), D, 8-7 TB-2
Rademacher earned the first takedown of the match for the Beavers to take a 3-0 lead midway through the opening period. Geog earned an escape to open the second to make it 3-1 Oregon State after two periods. Rademacher upped the lead wo 4-1 with an escape to open the third. Geog got a takedown with about 40 seconds remaining and added another late takedown to go up 7-5. Rademacher escaped late and with a point for riding time, sent the bout to sudden victory tied 7-all. Neither wrestler was able to score after a couple scrambles to send the match to tiebreakers. Rademacher started down in the first tiebreaker and escaped in a second for an 8-7 lead. In the second tiebreaker, Geog was not able to secure the takedown and fell by decision, 8-7. Â
