Canadian forward Brady Martin was forced to leave Sunday’s semifinal loss to Czechia in the first period with an apparent injury.
Martin appeared to sustain the injury when checking Czech defenceman Matyas Man in the first period. The Nashville Predators prospect was seen on the bench in pain and did not return to the bench for the start of the second.
Martin is one of Canada’s top scorers at the tournament, having scored four goals and four assists in five games entering the game.
Canada lost 6-4, the third straight year they have been eliminated by Czechia.
