Edward Kiley, 79, of Antigonish, Nova Scotia passed
away peacefully on January 4th, 2026, surrounded by his family at St
Martha’s Regional Hospital,
Antigonish.

Born and raised in Cambridge, Massachusetts, he
proudly served in the US Air Force and rose to the rank of Staff
Sergeant.  After his military career, he worked for
the State of Massachusetts.  In 1978 he moved the
family to Nova Scotia and worked at AH Roy and Associates and The
Claymore Inn.  He was a member of the Lions Club and
coached youth basketball for many years in
Antigonish.  Anyone who knew him also knew his love
for his Bruins and Red Sox, as well.

Edward was deeply devoted to his family and survived
by his wife of 54 years, Marie (Sullivan) Kiley; children, Lori Kiley
of Sarnia, Ontario, and Jay Kiley (Stephanie) of New Glasgow, Nova
Scotia; and 5 grandchildren, Emily, Abigail, Thomas, James, and
Kyle.  

He is also survived by his cousins in Long Island, New
York, Veronica, Tommy, Billy, and Michael McKinnon, and he will also
be greatly missed by Rachel and Noah

The family wants to express special thanks to Dr.
Christina Fraga, Dr. Dave Cudmore, VON, and especially the wonderful
staff in the Palliative Care Department at St. Martha’s
Hospital. 

Cremation has taken place and a celebration of
Edward’s life will be held at a later
date.

appreciated.
