A second consultation on plans for a new parish council in Surrey has opened.

The proposed council, which would serve Pyrford, near Woking, received support in an initial consultation last month.

Residents are now being asked for views on details such as the number of councillors, responsibilities and governance. The consultation runs until 28 February.

The leader of Woking Borough Council (WBC), Ann-Marie Barker, said it was “an important opportunity for residents to help shape the practical details” of any new parish council.
