Temperatures plummeted overnight in south-east England, with many places seeing their coldest night of the winter.

Charlwood in Surrey had a reading of -8.8C (16F), Shoreham in West Sussex saw -8.4C, and Frittenden in Kent -7.8C.

Snow continued to fall in some parts of the region on Tuesday morning, including in Guildford.

A Met Office yellow warning for ice is in place across Kent, Sussex and Surrey from midnight until 10:00 GMT on Wednesday.
