A pedestrian has been taken to the hospital after being struck by two different vehicles at the intersection of East Broadway and Slocan Street, according to Vancouver Police.

An 87-year-old woman was attempting to cross southbound when she was hit by two vehicles travelling westbound on Broadway. 

Police say that the incident occurred after 6:10 a.m. on Sunday.

The pedestrian was transported to the Vancouver General Hospital by BC Emergency Health Services (BCEHS) in critical condition.

Vancouver Police’s Collision Investigation Unit arrived at the scene shortly after to assist with the investigation, which is still ongoing at this time.

Authorities say that the two drivers of both vehicles remained on scene and are cooperating with investigators.

Traffic was disrupted in the area for several hours on Sunday.
