A valid dog tag helps quickly identify lost pets and reunite them with their families
With the new year arriving, it may be time to renew your dog licence.
Under Municipal Animal Control By-law #22-76 in Huron Shores, all dogs must be licensed each calendar year.
Dog tags are valid from Jan. 1 to Dec. 31 and can be renewed:
Proof of current rabies vaccination is required.
March 1 of each year is the deadline to purchase a dog tag in Huron Shores. Exception: New residents in their first year of residence
Dog Tag Fees
Regular Fees
$10 – Neutered/Spayed dogs
$15 – Non-neutered/Non-spayed dogs
$20 – Neutered/Spayed dogs (after March 1)
$30 – Non-neutered/Non-spayed dogs (after March 1)
Senior / Disabled Fees
$5 – Neutered/Spayed dogs
$7.50 – Non-neutered/Non-spayed dogs
$10 – Neutered/Spayed dogs (after March 1)
$15 – Non-neutered/Non-spayed dogs (after March 1)
No one expects their pet to go missing, but it only takes a moment to slip outside or off leash. A valid dog tag helps quickly identify lost pets and reunite them with their families.

Owners of pets that fall under the definition of Dangerous Dogs must register those pets with the Municipal Office in Huron Shores.
