Bouctouche, N.B. – It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Jean Robichaud, aged 81, on Sunday, January 4, 2026, at the Dr. Georges L.-Dumont University Hospital Centre in Moncton, N.B.
Born in Bouctouche, N.B., he was the beloved husband of Rose-Mai (LeBlanc) Robichaud and the son of the late Prémélite Robichaud and the late Alfreda Robichaud.
He is survived by his loving wife, Rose-Mai Robichaud; his sons, Maurice (Charline) Robichaud and Denis Robichaud, both of Bouctouche; his grandchildren, Elizabeth Belliveau (Ian), Charley Robichaud, and Mia Robichaud; and his two great-granddaughters, Alison and Kate. He will also be sadly missed by his sisters, Rolande (Élie) Poirier of Moncton, Nicole (Bernard) LeBlanc of Shediac, two brothers-in-law Adrien Babineau (late Carmen) of Grande-Digue and Bernard Maillet (late Maryse) of Dieppe as well as by many cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends.
In addition to his parents, Jean was predeceased by his sisters, Carmen, Simonne, and Maryse.
Jean worked for 42 years as a manager at the Bouctouche Cooperative before enjoying a well-earned retirement. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus and the Rotary Club of Bouctouche.
Visitation will be held at the Passage-Maillet Bouctouche on Wednesday, January 14, 2026, from 1:00 p.m. to 3:45 p.m., followed by a funeral Mass at 4:00 p.m. at Saint-Jean Baptiste Church in Bouctouche, N.B.
