Hamilton Police have arrested a 54-year-old male from Hamilton for trafficking crystal methamphetamine.
In the early hours of January 9. 2026, a patrol officer from the mountain division spotted a vehicle that had been used in a previous criminal occurrence. The officer conducted a traffic stop on Upper Wentworth Street and discovered evidence of drug possession resting in plain view within the vehicle.
The driver was arrested for drug possession; however, the situation changed after the routine search revealed evidence of drug trafficking including, but not limited to the following items:
60 grams of crystal methamphetamineTwo working scalesDime bags with cocaine and more crystal methamphetamineCanadian currency
The accused now faces drug trafficking charges and will be held for a bail hearing.
