Dozens of drivers were caught speeding in just 50 minutes on the same road during a police operation.

Wiltshire Police said it clocked 88 drivers breaking the 30mph speed limit outside Holy Cross Primary School on Queens Drive, Swindon, between 10:30 and 11:25 GMT on Friday.

The fastest driver was registered at 58mph on the stretch of road, nearly double the speed limit.

The force said 77 drivers will be offered a speed awareness course, nine will face fines and points and two face court appearances.
