It is with deep sadness that we announce the
passing of our dad, Miles Ludlow Carpenter on Jan7, 2026. He was the
son of the late Perley and Rheta(Wilkinson) and husband of the late
Fernande(Robichaud) Carpenter.

He was born in Oakville, NB and raised in
Marysville.

After graduating from FHS he attended
the University of South Florida in Tampa, earning his BBA. He then
came back to Fredericton and started his career with the provincial
government.

In 1972, he met mom and a few short months after
their first date, they married. They spent the best 48
years of their lives together, until mom’s passing
5 years ago.  Volunteering, church and community service was
always part of their life
together.

Over the years, dad was involved with Scouting,
Knights of Columbus and various committees and organizations. Upon his
retirement from government, he started a consulting company and was
able to devote more time to the Knights of Columbus and his interest
in genealogy. He spent many hours researching the Carpenter family
tree, writing 2 books and helping to organize many family
reunions.

He loved gardening, fishing, hunting, reading,
woodworking, being outdoors and most of all, spending time with his
family especially mom and his grandsons.

He is survived by his loving children,
Michelle(Brent) Dore and Jamie(Jennifer) Carpenter;
grandsons, Jake Dore(Alyssa) and Riley Dore(Robyn); great-
granddaughters, Oaklynn, Vallie and Daphne, as well as numerous
nieces, nephews and cousins.

Besides his parents and wife, dad was predeceased
by his brothers; Johnny, Murray and Terry. Mom’s parents,
Onesime and Gertrude Robichaud along with many bothers and
sisters-in-law.

Visitation will be held on Sunday January
