Artwork by Stafford oil painter Mabel Layng, which shows life in the years following World War One, will also be shown.

The 1920s are known for glitz, glamour, jazz and modernisation, but it was also a post-war era and when many people had been wiped out by a flu pandemic.

“This latest exhibition offers a unique opportunity to explore life during the iconic 1920s,” added Coles.

“There’s lots to see, including some stunning fashion items that made the decade so memorable.”

The history centre is open from Tuesday to Saturday, 10:00 to 16:00 GMT.
