A man in his 60s was seriously injured after a stabbing at a Burger King at Danforth Ave. and Broadview Ave., with one person now in custody.
A 21-year-old man has been arrested after a man in his 60s was stabbed in Toronto’s east end Saturday afternoon.
In a post to social media, Toronto police say officers were called at around 4:09 p.m. to the area of Danforth Avenue and Broadview Avenue for reports of a stabbing.
Investigators allege the suspect approached the victim and demanded a cigarette. When the victim refused, police say the suspect began assaulting him. The victim attempted to walk away, but the suspect allegedly produced a knife and stabbed him before fleeing the scene.
The victim was transported to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. Police say the victim and suspect were not known to each other.
Police further allege that a short time after the stabbing, the suspect attended a store in the area, selected several items and left without attempting to pay.
The suspect was previously identified as a man in his 30s wearing a blue hooded sweater.
Officers later located and arrested the suspect who they now identify as 21-year-old Lamarana Diallo of no fixed address.
He has been charged with:

He is scheduled to appear in court at the Toronto Regional Bail Centre on Sunday.
