Police have closed a road following the discovery of a suspected unexploded shell in a garden of a house in Nottinghamshire.
Cavendish Road in Carlton is closed, between the junctions of Highgate Close and Wheldon Avenue, and a cordon has been put in place, Nottinghamshire Police confirmed on Monday.
The force added an explosive ordnance disposal team had been called to “safely dispose of the item”.
People have been advised to avoid the area.
