A group of quad bike riders knocked down three people, damaged cars and stabbed a man over the course of a single night, police have said.

Cleveland Police officers are investigating reports that a group of between 10 and 15 young men were seen riding in Ormesby on Saturday night where they crashed into several people.

The group is then believed to have travelled to Slater Walk in Grangetown shortly before 01:00 on Sunday where the windows of a building were smashed and a man inside suffered stab wounds.

The force said a 16-year-old boy, who initially claimed to be 18, has been charged with a number of offences including attempted grievous bodily harm.
