Barça have retained their Spanish Super Cup title, claiming a 16th victory in the competition thanks to their 3-2 win over Real Madrid in the final on Sunday in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. For six players it will be their first ever title with the Barça first team – Joan Garcia, Marcus Rashford, Roony Bardghji – as well as Barça Atlètic players Dro, Jofre Torrents and Tommy Marqués who were also part of the Super Cup squad.
Goalkeeper Joan Garcia made his debut in a Clásico after missing the La Liga version earlier in the season due to injury. Despite conceding twice, the Catalan was instrumental in the win making several important saves, most notably in the dying minutes of the final.

Another player taking his first trophy as a blaugrana is Marcus Rashford. The English striker came on in the 83rd minutes of the final to replace Raphinha and went close to adding a fourth with an effort just past the post before celebrating his first piece of silverware in a Barça shirt. Swedish winger Roony Bardghji did not figure in the final but his contribution included a goal in the semi-final win over Athletic Club, an important step towards his first title as a blaugrana.
Finally, Dro, Jofre Torrents and Tommy Marqués can boast a Super Cup title in their list of honours after being included in the Barça squad for the tournament in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia.
