A 50-year-old man from Winnipeg is dead after the semi-trailer truck he was driving crashed in northern Manitoba on Monday.

RCMP say the vehicle was on Highway 60, about 40 kilometres east of the junction with Highway 10, when it went off the road, rolled and came to a stop in the tree line just after 4:30 p.m.

The man was ejected during the rollover and was pronounced dead at the scene.

The crash happened about 85 kilometres southeast of The Pas, between Cedar Lake and Lake Winnipegosis.

The RCMP continue to investigate.
