The M5 has reopened after a pedestrian died in a collision with a vehicle.
The motorway was closed in both directions after emergency services attended reports of a crash involving two lorries and a pedestrian who was on the carriageway between junctions 14 and 13, close to Michaelwood Services, at about 11:40 GMT, Gloucestershire Police said.
“The pedestrian sustained serious injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene,” said a police spokesperson, adding: “Their next of kin have been informed and are being supported by specially trained officers.”
The motorway has now reopened in both directions, but National Highways said delays of about 35 minutes remain on the northbound carriageway.
