It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved mother, Helene Elisabeth Daigle, on Wednesday January 7th, 2026, at the age of 88 years. Surrounded by family, Helene left this world peacefully in her home, leaving behind a legacy of love, kindness, and strength that will live on in all who knew her.

Born on August 1st, 1937, in Moncton, Helene dedicated her life to her family and to caring for others. She was the heart of our home—always ready with a warm smile, comforting words, and a gentle touch. Her love knew no bounds, and her selflessness touched everyone who had the privilege of knowing her.

Helene was not only a devoted mother but also a cherished friend and confidant. She found joy in the Catholic Church, her family and friends. Her laughter and warmth brought light to every room she entered.

Helene was proud of her career in the Nursing Administration office at The Moncton City Hospital where she worked until she retired at the age of 77 years. Her dedication, compassion, and professionalism earned her the respect of colleagues and the gratitude of those she served. She touched countless lives through her work and left an enduring impact on her community.

She is survived by her children, Suzanne Reid (David), Gregory Daigle (Yolande) and Mark Daigle, grandchildren Chelsey Bent (Jordan), Lucas Reid (Breanne), Colin Daigle (Mylene), Sarah McGrath (Maxime), Megan Daigle (Matt), Shaun LeBlanc and Kevin LeBlanc, Helene also enjoyed her great grandchildren, Rylan, Brynlee, Sophia, Janyka, Janessa and Elizabelle. She also leaves her sisters Margaret Hachey (Edgar), Lorraine Despres (Raymond), Yvonne Clancy (Terry), brothers Raymond Bourgeois (Dorice) and Michael Bourgeois (Bernice) as well as several nieces and nephews who will miss her dearly. She is also survived by Derrick Noiles, who was welcomed into the family as a son.

She was predeceased by her husband, Earl Daigle, sister Jeanne Poirier, her parents, Stella and Joseph Bourgeois nieces, Chantal Atkinson and Michelle Despres, Jacqueline Poirier and Suzie Poirier and one nephew Jimmy Poirier.

 Cremation has taken place.

Visitation will be held on Monday January 19th at Passage Chartersville Dieppe from 7pm to 9pm ONLY. The funeral mass will be celebrated January 20th at 11am at the Sainte-Thérèse Catholic Church Dieppe NB and a reception will follow at the Passage Chartersville Home 363 Amirault St Dieppe NB.

Helene will be laid to rest next to her husband Earl at Our Lady of Calvary cemetery Dieppe NB in a private ceremony in the spring.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations to The Friends of the Moncton City Hospital.
