Fire crews are tackling a blaze at a building on the St Andrews University campus.

The Scottish Fire and Rescue Service (SFRS) said the “well-developed” fire had started at a technology lab in the North Haugh area.

Four fire engines, a height appliance and a specialist water carrier were sent to the scene at about 14:25.

A university spokesperson said the fire had been “contained” to a storage area in one corner of the building, but other areas may be impacted by “smoke and water” damage.
