The left-sided player has joined from Sky Bet League Two side Bristol Rovers on a permanent basis, signing a one-and-a-half-year deal.
Bilongo, who also spent over two years at Championship club Middlesbrough, commented:
“I’m excited to be here. Me and the gaffer have been talking for a while and it’s nice to have that interest.
“I’m quite athletic. I like to bring that pace and energy into the team.
“I want to bring whatever I can to help the team, and I can’t wait to get out in front of everyone.”
Gaffer Jimmy McNulty is delighted with the acquisition of a player who caught his eye playing against Dale.
“Bryant is a player we’ve been aware of for a long time,” McNulty commented.
“We’ve always been monitoring the situation and Bryant was available at the right place at the right time.
“He’s got an excellent ceiling height. He stuck in my mind when we played Ebbsfleet United away a couple seasons ago.
“He can grow into an excellent player for us.”
Bilongo was part of the AFC Wimbledon academy at a young age, before joining West London side Hanworth Villa.
He moved up the pyramid to Kingstonian in the summer of 2021, where impressive form attracted the attention of a number of Premier League clubs, including Chelsea, where he trialled.
Middlesbrough agreed an undisclosed fee with the K’s for Bilongo’s signature in January 2022, handing him a debut in August 2022.
Spells on loan at National League clubs Woking and Ebbsfleet United followed, before he joined Bristol Rovers in the summer of 2024, again for an undisclosed fee.
After scoring an opening day winner for his new club, Bilongo made 14 League One appearances last season. A loan spell at Harrogate Town in the second half of 2024/25 followed.
This season, the 24-year-old has played 15 times for The Gas in all competitions.
He will wear the number 29 shirt throughout his time at the club. Welcome, Bryant!
