Following Bath’s 63-10 win over Edinburgh in round four of the Investec Champions Cup, here is how we scored Johann van Graan’s men.
Bath player ratings v Edinburgh
15 Tom de Glanville: Back in the starting XV this week but it wasn’t as fruitful a night he would have hoped. Little eye-catching to report but solid enough before unfortunately injury struck on 53 minutes as he limped off to be replaced by Santiago Carreras. 5
14 Joe Cokanasiga: Looked for work off his wing early on, making handy inroads for his team. Put a period of handling errors in the opening stanza to bed as his big moments came in the second period, skittling defenders out of his way for a well-taken try just before the hour mark and then cruising through a hole and setting up Ben Spencer for a walk-in. Completed his brace in the closing stages. 8
13 Ollie Lawrence: Busy with ball-in-hand and pounced for a turnover at the ruck in the first half too. Looks in decent touch at the moment, which is good news for England. 7
12 Max Ojomoh: Likewise with Ojomoh, who was the heartbeat of this handsome victory. Dovetailed nicely with Lawrence defensively and threw a ridiculous dummy that saw him slice through the Edinburgh defence late in the first half. His assist for Cokanasiga was sumptuous too, as he fizzed a pass out to his rampaging wing, and he followed that up with a smart finish on the left wing. 8
11 Henry Arundell: Strangely couldn’t get his hands on the ball much in the first half, not for a lack of trying, mind. That continued in the second to a degree before he got his moment on 68 minutes, darting over from close range for a welcome try before he had a hand in Cokanasiga’s second. 7
10 Finn Russell: An armchair ride behind this dominant Bath forward pack. It felt like he was in second gear most of the night, and in truth, that was all that was needed as those around him hit the accelerator. Will no doubt be kicking himself after coughing up a try-scoring pass from Dan Frost at the death. 5
9 Ben Spencer (c): A steady performance at the base on nights number nines dream of. He kept Bath ticking and ran the perfect support line to get his reward off Cokanasiga on 61 minutes. 6

Back-row
8 Alfie Barbeary: Destructive as ever, as he put in another statement performance to Steve Borthwick ahead of the Six Nations squad announcement. Edinburgh simply couldn’t live with the power he brought and was unlucky to be denied a try. 14 carries for 56 metres is a barnstorming effort. 8
7 Sam Underhill: Defensively fierce as he made life uncomfortable for Edinburgh all night long. A classic Underhill performance, nothing spectacular but supremely solid. 7
6 Guy Pepper: Subtle hands at times, and mixed that with his usual industriousness around the field. A real talent on the flank who will serve England well this Six Nations. 7
Tight five
5 Ross Molony: Safe as houses in the air at restarts early on and put it about around the field too. His team’s top tackler with nine hits made. 6
4 Quinn Roux: A decent engine room shift from the consistent lock as both he and Molony also helped their front-row achieve set-piece dominance. 5

3 Thomas du Toit: Brute force from the Springboks prop as he powered over for the game’s first try and, of course, had a hand in a dominant Bath scrum. He will be sorely missed when he departs at the end of the season. 7
2 Tom Dunn: Gave away a clumsy penalty at ruck time early on that cost his side three points. A not straight lineout followed but recovered thereafter as he put it about around the field with 10 carries to his name, completing the front-row try haul on the stroke of half-time from close range. 7
1 Beno Obano: A major player in a monster scrum that resulted in a penalty try and later powered over for a try from five metres out on 31 minutes. Incredibly unlucky not to feature more prominently for England, but maybe that will change in 2026. 7
Replacements: Serious impact from a handful of Bath substitutes as special mentions go to the electric Frost, Miles Reid and Santiago Carreras. Edinburgh fell apart late on and therefore it was open season for the hosts’ bench. 6
