The Masked Singer is back tonight with more fun and guessing games. Gargoyle is one of those set to perform for the second time, alongside Sloth, Can of Worms, Moth and Red Panda.
And fans of the ITV show are ‘certain’ the identity of the star inside the Gargoyle costume has already been ‘nailed’.
They gave an impressive performance of Filthy/Gorgeous by Scissor Sisters last week, donning a tartan dress, black leather jacket, green mohawk and a lot of piercings.
The anarchy symbol and the date 1976 were on display, and another clue included a calendar marked with the date January 13th.

Gargoyle was also reading a brochure titled ‘Long Summer Break Holidays’ and in their VT they claimed to have started to ‘spread their wings from an early age’.
They added: ‘I cross many styles – you can’t pigeon hole me.’ Amongst their belongings was a framed photo of Sally from Coronation Street.
One eagle-eyed Masked Singer viewer was quick to break down the clues on Reddit, and they believe Gargoyle is Marcella Detroit from Shakespears Sister.

They wrote: “The voice fits, as she’s known for her high pitched vocals. She put a photo of Sally Webster face down on a table, and Marcella co-wrote the song “Lay Down Sally” with Eric Clapton. She also worked on his 1976 album “No Reason To Cry”. (Sally and 1976 being clues).
“She talked about not being pigeon holed, which makes sense for Marcella because she was “pigeon holed” as a backing singer for big stars before joining Siobhan Fahey in Shakespears Sister, with Siobhan even suggesting Marcella change her name to give herself a new lease of life and leaving the backing singer life behind. (she was born Marcy Levy – Marcella Detroit being a stage name).
“She said things in the clue package that hinted that she really was American, or from another country, and just visiting the UK. Shakespears Sisters biggest song “Stay” was released January 13th 1992 – which is why January 13th was one of the major clues.”
Other users quickly agreed they were ‘on to something’.
One commented: “The January 13 clue made me certain.”
A second added: “I think you’ve just nailed this right on the head!”
The Masked Singer continues on ITV tonight (Saturday, January 17) at 7pm.
