Special weather statement – issued for:

Sault Ste. Marie – Superior East

Lake enhanced snow expected.

What:

Reduced visibility in heavy snow and local blowing snow.

Local snowfall amounts of 5 to 10 cm.

When:

Beginning this evening and ending Monday morning.

Additional information:

A low pressure system will move across Lake Superior tonight, bringing snow. The snow will be heavy at times as lake effect bands transit in and out of the area. In addition, winds will strengthen overnight or Monday morning, producing local blowing snow.

Travel may be hazardous. Visibility may be suddenly reduced to near zero at times. Prepare for the possibility of quickly changing and deteriorating travel conditions.
