One searcher said about 2,000 people showed up to look for the girl.

ZIMMERMAN, Minn. — A 7-year-old girl is home safe with her family after Zimmerman officials issued an Amber Alert Wednesday night. 

The Minnesota Bureau of Criminal Apprehension (BCA) stated on X that officials arrested one person in relation to this missing case. 

AMBER ALERT UPDATE: The Sherburne County Sheriff’s Office has canceled the AMBER Alert. The child has been found safe by police and a suspect is in custody. Thank you to everyone who assisted with the search.

The BCA said the girl was went missing after she was riding the bus home from school around 4 p.m. in Zimmerman. The Zimmerman Fire Department asked residents to check their campers or buildings, while the Sherburne County Sheriff’s Office urged people in the area to check their home security cameras for anything suspicious.

Officials sent out a search party for the girl and the searchers celebrated after she was found safe early Thursday morning. One searcher said about 2,000 people showed up to look for the girl.Â
