Heads up! We’re tracking accumulating snow and frigid temperatures that will impact all of Northeast Ohio.
CLEVELAND — A massive winter storm is set to impact a large swath of the country — including right here in Northeast Ohio — which is why the National Weather Service in Cleveland has issued a Winter Storm Watch for the entire region from Saturday night into Monday.
“The heaviest snow is expected on Sunday,” according to the National Weather Service.

The wintry weather also comes with sub-zero wind chills Saturday night into Sunday morning and again Sunday night into Monday morning.
“Travel could be difficult,” according to the National Weather Service. “The hazardous conditions could impact the Monday morning commute.”
For that reason, the National Weather Service says drivers should consider delaying travel based on the road conditions.
“If travel is absolutely necessary, drive with extreme caution,” according to the National Weather Service. “Consider taking a winter storm kit along with you, including such items as tire chains, booster cables, flashlight, shovel, blankets and extra clothing. Also take water, a first aid kit and anything else that would help you survive in case you become stranded.”
“Preliminary looks would paint much of northern Ohio with 6-12 inches of snow, perhaps more if the lakes get involved with our snow Monday,” according to the 3News weather team. “Impacts would be felt with lingering snow and cold on Monday.”
