Authorities in New South Wales, Australia have launched an urgent search for 37-year-old Julian Ingram, also known as Pierpoint, who is wanted in connection with three fatal shootings. The incident took place in Lake Cargelligo — which is in the Central West region of the state — on Thursday, January 22.

It has emerged that Ingram had been released on bail for domestic violence offences prior to the tragic event. According to the Sydney Morning Herald, the victims have been identified as Sophie Quinn, 24, and her companion John Harris, 32, who were gunned down whilst in a vehicle on Bokhara Street.

The attack occurred at approximately 4.30pm yesterday, local time. Reports suggest Ingram subsequently went to a residential property where he shot Sophie’s aunt, Nerida Quinn, 50.

At the same Walker Street address, Kaled Macqueen, 19, sustained serious gunshot wounds on the driveway.

Macqueen was transported to hospital where his condition remains serious but stable. Following their separation, Ingram allegedly attacked Quinn and was subsequently granted bail on 30th November after being charged with stalking or intimidating intending to cause fear or physical harm and common assault, reported the Mirror.

He had entered not guilty pleas and was due to appear in court on February 3, as per the Herald. His bail terms mandated daily check-ins with local police and imposed a 100-metre exclusion zone preventing any contact with Quinn.

A force spokesperson has confirmed that the suspect was definitely in a domestic relationship with one of the victims, adding that he has never possessed a firearms licence.

Authorities are urgently seeking public assistance to trace the man, who remains at large. He is described as being of Aboriginal/Torres Strait Islander appearance, approximately 165cm-170cm in height, with a medium build, short dark hair and brown eyes.

The suspect was last spotted driving a Ford Ranger utility bearing NSW registration DM-07-GZ, which features council signage, a metal tray back, high visibility markings along the sides and an emergency light bar mounted on the roof.

A substantial police operation is underway in the small Australian town, with 100 officers actively hunting for the ‘murderer’. NSW Police Assistant Commissioner Andy Holland has issued an urgent warning for Lake Cargelligo residents to remain indoors, keep away from windows and immediately report any suspicious activity, whether in their gardens or involving unfamiliar vehicles.

“It’s a tragedy that’s taken place in a very small country town, and it will have a big effect on the community,” Holland said.
