Police are appealing to the public for help as they search for a man wanted for murder following an incident Friday night in Bracebridge.
Shortly after 8 p.m., police responded to a report of gunfire at a home on Beatrice Townline Road. They arrived to find a deceased male, and the residence was engulfed in flames, Bracebridge OPP said in a news release.
A shelter-in-place order was issued, and it was lifted at about 1:45 a.m. Saturday.
Mitchell Gray, 29, of Bracebridge, is wanted for murder. He is described as white, about five-foot-eight, with light brown hair and facial hair.
“He is not believed to pose an immediate threat to others or to public safety,” police said.
