Good morning, it’s that time of the week again.

Home Secretary Shabana Mahmood is set to be questioned by Laura Kuenssberg ahead of a huge shake-up of policing in England and Wales.

The government intends to radically cut police forces down from 43 to make way for 12 “mega” forces to save money and boost crime-fighting.

Mahmood has also announced the creation of a new National Police Service, dubbed a “British FBI”, to take over counter-terror, fraud, and criminal gang investigations.

Meanwhile, it’s been a testing week for UK-US relations, with Downing Street criticising Donald Trump over a remark about Nato troops in Afghanistan.

Liberal Democrat leader Sir Ed Davey, who called on Prime Minister Keir Starmer to seek an apology from Trump, is also among guests on the programme.
