MINNEAPOLIS — The Minnesota Timberwolves, TwinsFest, and the city of St. Paul have canceled events in the wake of another fatal shooting involving federal immigration agents in south Minneapolis.
Alex Pretti, 37, of Minneapolis, was shot and killed at 26th Street and Nicollet Avenue Saturday morning.
The NBA has postponed Saturday night’s Minnesota Timberwolves game against the Golden State Warriors. The game will be played Sunday at 4:30 p.m. at Target Center, according to league officials.
Organizers added they “look forward to coming together in community at the Torchlight Parade on Saturday, Jan 31st.”
TwinsFest 2026 officials cut short their event at Target Field. It concludedat 4:00 p.m. rather than 5:00 p.m. as originally scheduled.
Also, the owners of the Black Forest Inn restaurant, located at 26th and Nicollet, will be closed Saturday night.
