Rail services through the Pennines have been disrupted after a tunnel fire in West Yorkshire.
Lines were blocked between Marsden near Huddersfield and Stalybridge in Tameside due to a blaze in the Standedge Tunnel, operator TransPennine Express (TPE) confirmed.
The company said trains would divert via the Calder Valley where possible, while services diverting between Leeds and Manchester Victoria would not call at Huddersfield and Stalybridge.
National Rail said major disruption was expected on the line until the end of the day.
