Five people were arrested in connection with incidents during the south coast derby on Sunday, January 25.
A spokesperson for Hampshire police said: “Richard Sean Conaghan, 34, of Courtmount Grove in Portsmouth, has been charged with entering the playing area during a football match.”
He is due to appear at Portsmouth Magistrates’ Court on Monday, March 16.

Police also confirmed that a 19-year-old from Portsmouth, arrested on suspicion of throwing an object has been released with no further action.
Also among those arrested was a 36-year-old man from Southampton, arrested on suspicion of common assault.
He was bailed and, as of Monday afternoon, police were unable to provide another update.
A 32-year-old and a 28-year-old, both from Portsmouth, were both arrested on suspicion of going on to the playing area but remain on bail, with police unable to give a further update.
