Canadian American actor Catherine O’Hara has died at age 71, according to a statement from her agency to The Associated Press.

Creative Artists Agency told The Associated Press that O’Hara died “following a brief illness.”

The Toronto-born actor is best known for her roles in Schitt’s Creek, Home Alone and Beetlejuice.

Her latest work was with fellow Canadian actor Seth Rogen in the Apple TV+ series “The Studio,” which earned her an Emmy nomination.

She was among those nominated for the Actor Awards earlier this month.
