Police scour the scene in Mount View after a man was seriously hurt in a shooting
Police have launched an investigation after a man was shot in a Sutton Coldfield home last night, it has been confirmed.
The victim, a man in his 20s, suffered serious gunshot wounds inside a property on Mount View late on Saturday night, January 31.
Gunshots were heard at around 11.30pm, with officers called to reports of “shots being fired” in the area.

Officers believe the incident was a “targeted attack”, but no arrests have yet been made.
Walmley Road, between Berryfields Road and Thimble End Road, has been closed off, while drivers have been told to ‘avoid if possible’.
A full appeal from the force read: “We are investigating after a man was shot at an address in Sutton Coldfield.
“We were called to Mount View, Sutton Coldfield shortly before 11.30pm last night after reports of shots being fired.
“Officers attended and a man in his 20s was taken to hospital with serious gunshot wounds.
“We are carrying out enquiries in the local area in a number of locations this morning as we work to gather evidence and find the people responsible.
“This is believed to have been a targeted attack and officers will also be in the area providing reassurance.
“We are keen to hear from anyone who was in the area at the time and may have seen or heard what happened.
