Noni Madueke has retrospectively been credited with our second goal during our 4-0 win against Leeds United at Elland Road.
The winger, who was a last-minute addition to our starting line-up after Bukayo Saka pulled up in the warm-up, had already assisted Martin Zubimendi for our opener before delivering a wicked corner into the box, which left home goalkeeper Karl Darlow scrambling to keep it out.
He collided with Dominic Calvert-Lewin before pushing the ball off his post and into the net, and was initially credited with an own goal. However, after further assessment, the Premier League Goal Accreditation Panel have deemed that Noni should be awarded the goal instead, as the corner was going into the net before Darlow’s intervention.
It is Noni’s first Premier League goal as a Gunner, and his fourth in total having netted three times in the Champions League so far this term.
