Liam Rosenior continues to impress in his role as Chelsea manager, and the results continue to go their way in the Premier League.

The Blues now have three wins from three in the league after their thrilling 3-2 victory over arch-rivals West Ham, despite trailing 2-0 at half-time.

Robert Sanchez was seen dealing with angry fans at the break, and it was Rosenior’s substitutes who helped get the job done. Joao Pedro and Marc Cucurella both scored off the bench in the comeback victory.

Chelsea fans have been so used to rigid tactics under Enzo Maresca with mixed results, and there was certainly a throwback feel to things when they were chasing a winner against the Hammers.

Rosenior said when asked about the plan late on: “After a really, really difficult first half, tactics went out the window. It was about personality and quality and character, and the players definitely showed that in the second half.” (Sky Sports)

It was clear the plan the Englishman brought to Stamford Bridge on Saturday wasn’t working, and rotation was letting him down.

Alejandro Garnacho had a nightmare performance after being given his chance, with Rosenior learning a quick lesson when it came to how many changes can be made ahead of a Premier League game.

For Blues supporters though, it was the desire to win the game late on, as they saw in Naples just days earlier, which will start to win them over.

Rosenior has made it no secret that he is a massive admirer of Manchester United legend Sir Alex Ferguson, and the Scot would have been proud of some late decisions by the Chelsea boss against West Ham.

Ferguson previously spoke to Gary Neville about how he dealt with matches where his side were trailing, and his thoughts echo those of Rosenior.

He said (Sky Sports Retro): “You’re down one nothing with 15 minutes to go. What’s the point in sitting with your back four, your regular midfield and two strikers. What’s the point in it? The risk is, shove your players in the box, because the other team react to that.

“Get the ball in there. That’s the risk, because you could lose a counter attack quite easily, but the value is, you score in the last minute of injury time, remember the dressing room? It was electric. Fans can’t wait to go to the pub.”
