The climax of Transfer Deadline Day has brought an end to the January window. Hundreds of millions of pounds have been spent between the Premier League sides this month.
Manchester City have been the biggest spenders forking out close to £85million to bring Marc Guehi from Crystal Palace and Antoine Semenyo from Bournemouth. Meanwhile, when it comes to transfer sagas, few have been as bitter as Jean-Philippe Mateta’s attempts to leave Crystal Palace.
He told Oliver Glasner’s side he wanted to leave and saw moves to Nottingham Forest and AC Milan collapse in the eleventh hour. Towards the end of the market, Liverpool also struck a huge transfer blow on Chelsea.

The Blues thought they were going to end the window with talented, 20-year-old defender Jeremy Jacquet after agreeing personal terms with him. But after they found his side Rennes too difficult to negotiate with, Arne Slot’s side breezed in and wrapped up a big-money deal for the defender, right under the noses of the west Londoners.
One of the most lucrative transfers of the window was Jorgen Strand Larsen’s massive move to Selhurst Park. The south Londoners broke their club transfer record to sign the Norwegian from Wolverhampton Wanderers in a huge deal.
