Reliable West Ham insider ExWHUemployee has shared a fresh update on the club’s race against time to sign Chelsea defender Axel Disasi after submitting a deadline day deal sheet.
The Hammers have endured a chaotic January window that’s seen more players leave than arrive.
Lucas Paqueta returned to Flamengo in Brazil for £36.5 million, whilst fringe players like James Ward-Prowse, Guido Rodriguez and Niclas Fullkrug all departed.

Disasi had a medical today ahead of a move to West Ham after both clubs shook hands on a loan deal, with a deal sheet submitted as we go past the 7pm cut-off.
The deal sheet will give West Ham extra time to finalise a deal for the ex-Ligue 1 star, but according to Ex, the defender isn’t exactly making things easy.

As per the insider, via X, West Ham are insisting the deal remains on, but Disasi is now making extra last-minute demands.
While those specific demands haven’t been revealed yet, it’s created major headaches with just an hour and a half left before the 9pm final deadline.
West Ham thought they had this wrapped up after days of negotiations with Chelsea, only for the player himself to throw spanners in the works at the worst possible moment.
Nuno badly needs this signing. They face Burnley away on Saturday in a massive relegation six-pointer with Todibo banned and Max Kilman out of form.
Failure to land Disasi would leave Nuno dangerously short at the back during the most crucial part of the season.
Whether West Ham cave to Disasi’s new demands or walk away remains to be seen, but the clock is ticking loudly.
