Balazs Toth – 7
Made a brilliant save after a header from a long corner. Wasn’t overly worked outside of that.
Lewis Miller – 6
Solid at right-back. Then moved to centre-back on the hour and stood up to the challenge.
Hayden Carter – 7
Good to see him back on his first appearance since February 13. Defended his box well, he will be important if Rovers can keep him fit.
Sean McLoughlin – 6
Nervy moment as he headed past Toth. Otherwise, pretty untroubled.
Eiran Cashin – 7
Took his goal well with a good dart to the near post. Striker’s movement and a smart finish.
Sondre Tronstad – 7
Did brilliantly for the goal to keep the move alive. A calm head when others were nervous.
Moussa Baradji – 6
Had moments in the game where he looks unplayable, particularly with his driving runs. Then drifts out of games and doesn’t get involved.
Ryoya Morishita – 7
Set up the goal and was involved in most of the good play down the right.
Todd Cantwell – 5
Should be grabbing games like this by the scruff of the neck. Quality was missing, though not for a lack of trying.
Dion De Neve – 6
One bright moment in the first half as he flashed a cross over for Morishita. Otherwise, on the periphery.
Mathias Jorgensen – 6
Made some decent runs but didn’t get the ball. Still unsure where his natural fit would be in a 4-2-3-1.
Substitutes:
Ryan Alebiosu (62′) – 6
A good outlet after coming on down the right.
Andri Gudjohnsen (62′) – 6
Had a big chance with a backheel but Cooper made a smart save.
Yuki Ohashi (81′) – N/A
Pressed and harried in the final 10 minutes.
Harry Pickering (81′) – N/A
Part of a change in formation as Rovers looked to shut up shop.
Unused substitutes: Michalski, O’Riordan, Montgomery, Gardner-Hickman, Afolayan.
