Toronto police are looking for two suspects after a home invasion in Scarborough ended with one person being stabbed.

It happened on the evening of Jan. 22 at a residence near Kennedy and Ellesmere roads.

Police said two male suspects knocked on the door, and when a resident answered, they forced their way inside.

The suspects allegedly assaulted the resident while demanding cash.

When a second resident showed up, one suspect produced a knife, police said. The two suspects then allegedly stabbed the resident in the stomach.

They fled shortly after.

In a news release on Wednesday, police released images of the two suspects, who are both between 20 and 25 years old. One of them stands five-foot-seven with a medium build, and the other is five-foot-five with a slim build.

“The suspects are considered armed and dangerous. If located, do not approach and call 9-1-1 immediately,” police said

Investigators are asking anyone with information about the suspect’s identities and whereabouts to contact them at 416-808-7350 or Crime Stoppers anonymously at 416-222-TIPS (8477).
