Sean Dyche takes his Nottingham Forest team to play Leeds on Friday, and there are some injury concerns.

Neco Williams will definitely miss out for Forest after his red card against Crystal Palace, although he will return against Wolves on Wednesday night.

Dyche has hinted he might not pick Luca Netz after his Deadline Day arrival from Borussia Monchengladbach, with some decisions to make on the left-hand side.

Last weekend, Callum Hudson-Odoi and Matz Sels were both withdrawn at half-time and now Dyche has assessed both of their chances of playing this weekend.

It would appear that it’s bittersweet news for the Reds ahead of the Leeds clash.

Sels might be struggling to take part against Leeds, with Dyche suggesting that things haven’t yet cleared up from last weekend’s clash.

He said: “It’s still a bit sore. We’ll take an opinion over the next few days to learn the extent of it. There’s a chance he will play, so we will see how it settles.”

On the winger, things sound a little bit more positive, considering Hudson-Odoi was spotted in a sling after the draw with Crystal Palace.

Dyche said in his press conference: “Callum has got a knock on his shoulder. He landed on it awkwardly. We have had it checked, and there’s nothing too serious, but it’s a painful one. We will have to make a decision on that in the next 36 hours in preparation for the game.”

Should Nottingham Forest risk Sels or Hudson-Odoi against Leeds United?

Backup has been signed for Sels in Manchester City goalkeeper Stefan Ortega, but the Belgian stopper has just rediscovered his best form in recent weeks.

As for Hudson-Odoi, his ability to carry the ball higher up the pitch means he can do something that not many in the Forest squad can replicate.

Omari Hutchinson would likely step in for Hudson-Odoi if he doesn’t make it, but there would be a difference in how the two players operate.

Hopefully, the comments from Dyche are him remaining coy and at least one of the two players can start the game at Elland Road as Forest look for a big three points.
