A trail of ice sculptures will be installed across the streets of York this weekend as part of an annual event.

The free festival, which runs on the 7 and 8 February, features 36 sculptures all sponsored by York-based businesses and inspired by “magic, mystery and the weird and wonderful”.

The trail also includes demonstrations of live ice carving and an ice village market.

The sculptures, curated by tourism organisation Make It York and partners, are created by Icebox and will be on display at various locations across the city between 10:30 GMT and 16:00.
