A driver is facing over $500 in fines after stopped travelling at high speeds.
Ottawa OPP stopped the vehicle traveling 149 km/h on Hwy 417 near Terry Fox Drive early in the evening on Saturday.
Upon making the stop, officers discovered there were more people in the vehicle than there were seatbelts. No one in the car had a seatbelt on, including a nine-year-old child.
The driver was issued a $295 charge for speeding and a $240 fine for having a passenger under 16 without a seatbelt.
The eligible passengers were also issued fines for not wearing seatbelts.
