The Addicks kept a 10th clean sheet of the season and the second in as many games following Saturday’s 2-0 win at Leicester City.

Jones said: “It’s a point, another clean sheet. After the Millwall game, we were really disappointed. Now, it’s four points in two games, it’s a good return.

“If you keep a clean sheet in the Championship, you are not lucky. We needed Thomas [Kaminski] a couple of times. We have to show more quality and have more game management otherwise we will get punished.”

“We kept giving the ball away, so we need to be a bit calmer and more controlled and show more composure in certain areas.

“We have gone back to what we do best, we have kept 10 clean sheets this season. So, we are pretty much one in three with that and we had a tough run, so I am pleased with that aspect.

“Overall I am pleased, but there are elements we need that we need to get better at.”

More than 21,000 packed The Valley for the highest paid attendance for a weeknight game in the last 16 years.

“The fans, they were wonderful.” Jones said. “We needed them, they are the twelfth man and we need that all the time. They have been magnificent, its just disappointing we couldn’t give them something that would have just finished it off.”

The Addicks are back in action at The Valley on Wednesday, February 11th, as they host Stoke City. Don’t miss out, get your tickets now!
