We may have seen Tottenham lose again this weekend but at least we can now count Madonna as a Lilywhites fan.
While the men’s team were busy dropping points against Man United on Saturday afternoon, pop music icon Madonna was seen cheering on Spurs.
She wasn’t watching Thomas Frank and co. though. No, Madonna was busy watching the women’s academy team instead.
With results not going our way at the moment, we’ll take any victory we can get, and adding a musical superstar to our roster of famous supporters has to count for something, right?

On her Instagram this weekend, Madonna posted a story from the sidelines at an academy game featuring the Tottenham women’s team.
Her post featured the caption, “I will pay God for some sunshine”, and a further comment reading, “Go Spurs Women academy.”
Despite being born and raised in Bay City, Michigan over in the United States, and making a name for herself as a famous musician across the pond, it seems Madonna has now found her way over to North London.
It’s all because of her twin daughters, Stella and Estere Ciccone, whom Madonna adopted from Malawi back in 2017. The pair are now 13 years old and have both represented the Spurs women’s academy over the past few days.
Stella and Estere are regularly featured on Madonna’s social media. However, little is known about their affiliation with Spurs, beyond the fact that they have played for the youth team recently.
Madonna joins other famous Spurs fans
Madonna is not the first famous face to be spotted cheering on the Lilywhites. In fact, there are plenty of other huge celebrities known to be fans of Spurs, including another musical megastar, Adele.
Actors like Tom Holland, Kenneth Branagh, Jude Law, and Rupert Grint are also known to support Tottenham.
You can also count tennis star Emma Raducanu and, of course, wealthy businessman and former chairman, Alan Sugar, as Spurs supporters.
