HBO Max has finally set the launch date for the rollout of its standalone streaming service in the U.K. and Ireland.

The platform will be available from March 26, with content from HBO, Warner Bros. Pictures, Warner Bros. Television, DC Studios and Max Originals.

The U.K. launch will give viewers four options for subscription ranging from two ad-based tiers at £4.99 and £5.99 per month (the latter including downloads and recent releases) and two ad-free packages of £9.99 and £14.99 per month, the latter of which includes 4K Ultra HD with Dolby Atmos (where available). TNT Sports will continue to be available as a standalone or bolt-on for £30.99 per month.

Among the scripted fare available to U.K. and Irish fans will be the entire first season of Noah Wyle starrer “The Pitt,” both seasons of “Euphoria,” “House of the Dragon” and the debut of DC’s “Green Lantern” series “Lanterns.” Library content will also include all episodes of “Friends,” “Succession, “The Sopranos” and “Game of Thrones.”

Coming to the service in the near future is Season 3 of “Euphoria,” Season 2 of “The Pitt” and, in 2027, the debut of the upcoming “Harry Potter” series.

Movies will be available on the service although the most basic of the four subscription tiers on offer will not include more recent blockbuster releases such as “Sinners,” “One Battle After Another,” “Superman” and “A Minecraft Movie.”

TNT Sports will also be moving from the Discovery+ app (which will remain a separate offering) to HBO Max on the date of launch, offering subscribers access to soccer (including Premier League, UEFA Champions League), tennis (Grand Slams), cycling (Grand Tour) and the upcoming 2028 Olympic Games in L.A.

“After decades of delighting audiences in the U.K. and Ireland with our remarkable stories and brands, it’s a huge thrill to finally bring it all together on HBO Max, and also offer it directly to all consumers,” said president of global streaming at Warner Bros. Discovery, JB Perrette.

Andrew Georgiou, president of Warner Bros. Discovery U.K. and Ireland, said: “Launching HBO Max in the U.K. and Ireland marks a significant moment for viewers here. HBO Max will offer them their most loved series and movies from HBO, Warner Bros. and DC Studios, alongside premium sports from TNT Sports in the U.K., within an outstanding single destination for this great content and strong value proposition.”

HBO Max will be available via app, from hbomax.com and via launch partners Sky and Amazon on all major devices including TVs, mobiles and tablets. Pre-registration is available on the App Store and Google Play from March 12.

HBO Max first launched in the U.S. in 2020 and has since expanded across Latin America, Europe and Asia. It is now available in over 110 territories worldwide.
