Manchester United thankfully ended a run of eight games against Tottenham without a win, with a 2-0 victory at Old Trafford.

United fan positivity leading into the game proved correct as the team recorded a fourth win in as many games.

Goals from Bryan Mbeumo and Bruno Fernandes showed that Michael Carrick’s winning run is stronger than the hex Spurs have had over United in recent times.

Mbeumo scored from a well-worked corner routine before Fernandes struck in the second half to put the result beyond doubt.
