An investigation is under way into the death of a man, whose body was found at a property in Carrick-on-Suir in Co Tipperary.
The body of the 49-year-old man was found at the property in the Ravenswood estate at around 3.30am this morning by family members.
He was pronounced dead at the scene.
A post-mortem examination is due to be carried out at University Hospital Waterford.
The scene has been preserved for a technical examination and the Office of the State Pathologist has been notified.
Gardaà say they are attempting to establish the man’s last known movements and are carrying out door-to-door inquiries as well as checking CCTV footage from the area.
They have appealed for anyone with information to come forward, including any road users who were in the Cregg Road area between 8pm last night and 3.30am this morning.
Gardaà have asked anyone with camera footage (including dash-cam) to make it available to them.
